Cue the Black Sabbath Theme Song

I just got back from the 12:01 showing of Iron Man, the first in a long line of movies I’m eagerly waiting to see. So, what’d I think?

Another huge name from the Marvel franchise takes it’s turn jumping from the comic book pages to the movie screen. Iron Man is one of the poster children for what an amazing comic book adaptation should be. I don’t think there could have been a better pairing for the lead role of Tony Stark than Robert Downey Jr., all substance abuse jokes aside. Downey Jr. has the humor and sarcastic wit to pull the character off. Great parts are also played by Gwyneth Paltro, Terrance Howard (who gets a War Machine nod), and Jeff Bridges, aka The Dude. Of course Stan Lee makes a very humorous appearance with some Playboy Bunnies.

Now for the good stuff. Within minutes of the movie starting, there’s an explosion which sets off the chain of events for the remainder of the film. The equivalent to this movie is that one album that you can listen to the whole way through. The transformation of Stark from arms dealer playboy to superhero, uh, playboy is so good, you actually feel the moment Stark has his life changing epiphany. From beginning to end, Iron Man doesn’t let you drop off your peak for a second. Which, in my opinion, is the way it should be. When there’s no humor, there’s action. No action? Here’s some suspense. Have some more humor while you’re at it. Through and through, an amazing movie.

Oh, there are some bonus perks on either end of the film. Make sure you get there early for the new Dark Knight and much better looking Incredible Hulk trailer. Definately stay till the very end of the film, you won’t regret sitting through the credits. Trust me.

Ooo sounds good! Cant wait to see it! :) And a new Dark Knight trailer, you sound? I’m excited :P

One quick note… in referring to music, “cue” is spelled C-u-e… a “queue” is more for computers and such. :) … am I a dork or what? :D

Saw it twice yesterday (gotta love the perks of running a theatre), and I fully agree. It was amazing. The cgi, story, humor, action, were all top notch. Best part is, Robert Downey Jr already signed on for the next two movies!!! Go see this movie!!!

I can’t express how excited I am for the Dark Knight….I could’ve written another 2 paragraphs about that trailer alone. The joker is by far my favorite villain. He’s going to be my next halloween costume (which I’ve already started and is going to be part tribute)

Nice, it looks like I’ll definitely have to see this movie. It was either gonna be a complete hit for me, or a complete miss. But it seems a lot of people are saying good things. How was Samuel L Jackson in the film?

Hey! I saw it! it was great! Good characters, good plot!…It was all good… except for the very, very end. (Those who have seen it, know the part I mean.) It made me sooo angry that superhero movies would sink to a new low…
