And this weeks winners are…..
Finally with Indiana Jones out of everyones minds, the world of cinema can get back to normal. Lets take a look and see who the winners at the box office were this week.
Kung Fu Panda debuted #1 at the box office this weekend, earning $60 million. The film also had the highest per theater average of any in the top ten with $14,584. The opening now stands at the forth largest June opening ever (#1 is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban which earned $93.6 million).
You Don’t Mess with Zohan debuted at #2 with $40 million. (For the love of god don’t mess with him, hell dont even see this movie. It stunk!!!)
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull fell one spot to #3 in its third weekend, earning $22.8 million to improve its total gross to $253 million. Since it took $210 million to make, I’d say it did pretty damn good.
Sex and the City fell three spots to #4 in its second weekend, earning $21.3 million to bump its total gross to $99.2 million.
The Strangers fell two spots to #5 in its second weekend, earning $9.2 million to raise its total gross to $37.6 million.
Iron Man fell two spots to #6 in its sixth weekend, earning $7.5 million to bump its total earnings to $288.8 million. GO SEE THIS! FORGET ABOUT ZOHAN!
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian fell two spots to #7 in its forth weeked, earning $5.5 million to raise its total gross to $125.8 million. Bomb Bomb Bomb. unfortunatly since it cost over $200 million to make, this is a very big loss for the film company and the franchise.
What Happens In Vegas fell two spots to #8 in its fifth weekend, earning $3.4 million to raise its total to $72.2 million.
Baby Mama fell one spot to #9 in its seventh weekend, earning $779,000 to raise its total gross to $57.9 million.
Made of Honor fell one spot to #10 in its sixth weekend, earning $775,000 to raise its total gross to $44.6 million.
