And this weekends winners are…

So once again this colum lives! Yes I am back with your weekend movie grosses. This weekend nothing really special came out, but I will give you all the figures you could wrap your brain around. And yes Dark Knight is still making money.

Burn After Reading debuted #1 at the box office this weekend, earning $19.4 million. The film had a budget of $37 million. Honestly I didnt like this movie at all. The first hour bored me to tears. The dry acting and the lack of any real substance just killed it. Though if you must see it, George Clooney’s sex chair is pretty funny.

Tyler Perry’s The Family That Preys debuted at #2 with $18 million. The film also had the highest per theater average of any in the top ten with $8,705 per theater. No wanting to see this what so ever.

Righteous Kill debuted #3 with $16.5 million. The film had a $60 million budget. I wasnt able to see this yet, but i think tuesday may be movie day.

The Women debuted at #4 with $10 million. The film had a low budget of $16 million.

The House Bunny fell one spot to #5 with $4.3 million, raising its four week total to $42.1 million, nearly doubling its $25 million budget.

Tropic Thunder fell four spots to #6 with $4.1 million, raising its five week total to $102.9 million. The film had a $92 million budget.

The Dark Knight fell four spots to #7 in its ninth weekend, earning $4 million to raise its total gross to $517.6 million.

Bangkok Dangerous fell seven spots to #8 in its second weekend, earning $2.4 million to raise its total to $12.5 million. The film had a $45 million budget. LOL @ Cage

Traitor fell four spots to #9 with $2.1 million, raising its three week total to $20.7 million. The film had a budget of $22 million.

Death Race fell three spots to #10 in its fourth weekend, earning $2 million to increase its total gross to $33.1 million. The film had a $45 million budget. I so wanted to see this but havent had the chance.
