You know, that's true! I'd never even though about that. That whole plan of a human infiltration was completely contrary to everything we know about the machines. They are cold, calculating killers who leave nothing to chance. To allow Marcus to maintain his human brain, was a very illogical choice and left A LOT to chance... and machines don't make illogical choices. Yet another failure by the writers. By the way, this movie was written by John D. Brancato... the man who wrote the Catwoman movie starring Halle Berry. Need I say more? SPOILERS!!!

You know, that’s true! I’d never even though about that. That whole plan of a human infiltration was completely contrary to everything we know about the machines. They are cold, calculating killers who leave nothing to chance. To allow Marcus to maintain his human brain, was a very illogical choice and left A LOT to chance… and machines don’t make illogical choices. Yet another failure by the writers.

Alright, well I saw it, but I honestly don't think it was THAT bad. I barely saw any trailers for it, so I didn't get the Marcus character pre-spoiled for me. But yeah, I can see the cliches. The whole heart thing was lame as all. Christian Bale is getting tired in movies and his raspy Batman voice is just so funny nowadays. I think the dude who played Kyle Reese did an AWESOME job. It was just so much like the original Kyle Reese. Though, I was slightly disappointed at some parts. SPOILERS!!!!!!!! The biggest dumb plothole I found. Why would the machines make an ultimate infiltration half human/half machine if it had ANY chance to rebel against them and destroy them. That's just stupid. Machines do things based on logic. Giving him a brain capable of rebellion is just not logical. Also, by the end of the movie, I really felt absolutely nothing happened. They pretty much just set the scene for the next few movies.
