Everyone has different musical taste, and that's what keeps the world interesting. So its time to share your music interests. What types of music do you like/dislike? Have you been to any concerts? Do you play any instruments?

My usual listening consists of Metal, Rock, instrumentals, a bit of classicial, and some alternitive if i want to mellow out. I dispise boy bands, cutesy teen pop music, emo bands, and all bands that dare call themselves musicians when all you hear are indistinguishable screams and growls. As for concerts. I have gone to see Iced Earth (hell yeah!), Apocalyptica (most amazing thing I have ever seen), and Dragonforce (with Turistas and Powerglove opening for them). Dragonforce is insane live, Iced Earth will make your ears bleed and can put on a great show, and Apocalyptica are a sight to behold.

Do I play any instruments? I have a Kerry King flying V that I play. But I am limited to the openings of Enter Sandman, Walk by Pantera, and a few chords of some Slayer.

I tend to find that, with my own musical tastes, I like particular songs rather than bands. All too often I have come across a song which I really enjoy, only to find the band greatly diverts from that sound on the rest of their album. That said, I do tend to gravitate towards rock, instrumental, ambient, power metal, or even some pop or classic R&B (McFly I must confess, are a guilty pleasure of mine).

Though in general I have very few bands that I follow, I really like Sigur Ros and The Blue Man Group for my more ambient moments, Nickelback and Breaking Benjamin for my rockier tastes, and Bryan Adams when I'm looking for something easy on the ears. My song of the moment right now would be 'Human' by The Killers.

I don't play any instruments, I have dabbled in learning the piano once or twice, but never stuck with it.

For me, Christian music always takes me away, especially Christian metal. Even though I'll listen to anything Christian with some slight Weird Al, Daft Punk, and even some Mudvayne. My favorite Christian metal group is definitely Staple just because their music is incredible and their lyrics are so meaningful. And as for my favorite song, it would definitely be, "Fists Afire" by Staple from their self-titled debut.

As for concerts, yes, I have. I remember my first concert as if it were yesteryear. It was at Great America. They were having one of those special Christian concert days in October where Ruth, August Burns Red (Whoo!), Dizmas, Hawk Nelson, and Newsboys were playing. Hard for me to enjoy it because, the idiot I was, I decided it would be much more fun to go crazy and run around like a madman during the August Burns Red portion of the event whilst frequently slamming my fist into my head. Personally, I think my grades have slipped quite a few points since then due to the constant head-banging/bashing, but I'm slowly recovering. Ruth is just your average garage band, but their first album I really liked even though they were just simply a soft-rock style, August Burns Red will slice your head off and feed it to the dogs, yes, they are that heavy and their drummer is insane, Dizmas is a definite party band live, I say that because there is sometimes one song in their set where they have some of the audience go into a Conga Line and just hop around, Hawk Nelson is one of those rock bands that has an unnatural ammount of female fans with some catchy songs, and Newsboys are just plain Worship. The only thing different about Newsboys Worship is that if you ever go to see them live, be prepared for a lot of Captain Crunch throwing. Hehe… The Newsboys have a song called, "Breakfast" and it is one of their most popular songs. Captain Crunch came onto the stage because in their chorus they say, "When the toast has burned and all the milk has turned, And Captain Crunch is waving farewell." Very strange and yet very fun to watch.

I do play some instruments. My top instruments are guitar, drums, and synthesizers. Whereas, my weakest musical talent is for the bass, DJ, and piano. There are times where I just pick up an instrument and either cover a song I already know by heart, or just play around and see what comes out.

Sheesh, that's a lot of typing. Sorry about that! ^.^'

I am a rock guy myself. I just hate rap and old school country. Check out my band at http://www.myspace.com/fivesharps to get the ultimate mix of video games and your taste of jazz/ska.

Cool
